About the Artist
Tine grew up in a music-loving family and started at age seven in a school band in Oslo. Her journey from Vålerenga's music scene has taken her to all six continents.
She's known for her completely unique sound. You know when Tine is playing—and this makes her one of the world's foremost concert trumpeters. A small curiosity: she performs barefoot on stage. She wants to feel the ground beneath her. No safety net, just music.
As a champion for women in music, she founded tenThing in 2007—ten women on brass showing the world that instruments don't care about gender. The album "She Composes Like a Man" (2024) celebrates composers from Clara Schumann to Florence Price.
Her latest album "Echoes" (2025) is out now.
