As long as Tine is our Artistic Director, we always get Sebastian as part of the deal. He's a gift to us at Kammer'n, to all of you in the audience, and to our talent program.
About the Artist
Sebastian is essential to the festival's wellbeing. He's the main man behind the free concerts in the square, which gather the town every day for everything from classical favorites to jazz, pop, and folk music. Setting the mood each day is one of the most important things for a festival.
But he does more than fill the square with music. He's the link between young talents and the professional musicians at the festival. So not only does he delight us daily with the free concerts, he also ensures we have musicians for future festivals.
He comes from a proud musical family in Bergen, and in his day job he plays in the Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces as a staff sergeant. So there are opportunities to hear him outside of Risør too, but we think you should see him here with us.
