The next in line of Thing Helseths is Amalie, a young cellist who knows the festival and the streets of Risør better than most. Now we finally get more of her, and we're excited to share that with all of you.
About the Artist
You've all seen and heard Amalie Thing Helseth before, given that her big sister has a long history with us in Risør. The bar is high for who we invite to the festival, and it's a great joy to see Amalie reach each new level with the utmost ease.
She started playing cello at age five at Barratt Due Institute of Music, before completing a bachelor's degree under none other than cellist Johannes Moser in Cologne. She's now well into her master's at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
At this year's festival, we have the pleasure of experiencing Amalie both on her own and as part of Trio Leikínn.
